Beta LaserMike's LaserSpeed® gauges produce highly accurate, non-contact speed and length measurements
at a surprisingly low cost. With accuracy better than
+/- 0.05%, LaserSpeed is the ideal gauge for replacing contact tachometers which are prone to measurement errors caused by slippage, dirt build-up and day to day wear. A complete series of gauges have been designed specifically to operate in the harsh environments of the steel and non-ferrous metals production mills.
LaserSpeed gauges use the Laser Doppler measurement principle to produce highly accurate measurements without having to contact the product. The gauge has no moving part, uses 100% solid-state digital technology, and is permanently calibrated - resulting in significant time and money savings. LaserSpeed gauges have a low cost of ownership because they have no moving parts to wear out, require little maintenance and are extremely easy to install and operate.
